Waking Before the World is Very Powerful

It’s Saturday morning. There was a terrible storm last night. But when I woke at 6am the skies started to clear. The park near the house is empty and the birds are singing. Why is this important? -Because studies suggest that listening to birdsong reduces stress and anxiety, promoting relaxation and focus. The dawn chorus—the collective singing of birds at sunrise—is considered one of nature’s most beautiful phenomena.
Why am I doing this? Why wake up before the world moves? Because when you have something important to do, a dream to fulfill, a plan to make happen The early hours are a gift. A time when the world is quiet, distractions fade, and clarity sets in. This is when you get ahead—when you turn ideas into action. And whether your dream is a side hustle, a novel, or a fresh chapter in life, the question isn’t ‘Should I do this?’ The question is, ‘What am I waiting for?’”
Let me tell you a story…
A few years ago, a friend started something – early in the morning that turned into a thriving business. I heard about this great idea consistently for (almost) a year. But between responsibilities, routines, and excuses, that dream stayed on the shelf. Then, one Saturday morning, instead of going back to sleep, he made a different choice. He got up and spent a few hours putting a plan into place. He waited till after 9 to text me the news. We had lunch that day to talk about his plan.
Waking up early was not a grand gesture—it was a small start that changed everything – at least for him. He made a habit of starting the day early just to spend a few hours on his project. Once in the rhythm of rising with the sun, he turned his dream into a reality. A few months later, he started chartering his boat for local fishing excursions. He made a life long dream come true by investing a few hours early when the world was quiet.
So, here I am—awake before the world to talk to you about the little things that add up to big accomplishments. What small step will you take today? Even if it’s just 15 minutes of planning, research, or creation—this is how momentum begins.
